Euromex StereoBlue 10-40x Dual Magnification Stereo Microscope
Euromex StereoBlue 10-40x Dual Magnification Stereo Microscope
The StereoBlue is Euromex's stereo microscope for laboratory, inspection and dissection work, used by biologists, geologists, electronics engineers, jewellers and dental technicians. The dual-magnification models have a rotating objective pair: the SB.1302 gives 10x and 30x, and the SB.1402 gives 20x and 40x, through secured WF 10x/21 mm eyepieces. Pick the SB.1302 for a wider field at low power and the SB.1402 for more detail on small parts; optional 15x and 20x eyepiece pairs raise either later.
Working distance is 100 mm, enough room to dissect, solder or turn a specimen under the lens, and the field of view is 21 and 6.9 mm on the SB.1302 or 10.5 and 5.2 mm on the SB.1402. The binocular head has 45-degree tubes, a dioptre ring on one side and eye spacing from 55 to 75 mm, and the eyepieces are supplied with eyecups.
Two 3 W LEDs, one above the stage and one below, run together or separately from the mains, so an opaque rock is lit from above and a thin section from beneath. The rack and pinion stand is cast alloy with a hardened coating, a flat base, two clamps, tension control on the coarse focus and a 60 mm stage plate, clear on one side and black and white on the other. A Kensington slot at the back takes a security cable, and the paint carries Euromex's APL antimicrobial layer. A polarising kit with a rotating stage (SB.9520) is an option for mineralogy.
Supplied with power cord, dust cover, eyecups, spare fuse, both stage plates and the manual. The EduBlue below it is the battery-powered school version with 60 mm of working distance; our microscopes for electronics page compares it with digital inspection scopes, and which microscope do I need separates stereo from compound work. For continuous zoom, see the StereoBlue 7-45x.
