Euromex

Euromex is a Dutch microscope maker, founded in 1966 and based in Duiven in the Netherlands, that has delivered more than a million microscopes, promises spare parts for 20 years and holds ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 (medical device) certification. We carry seven of its ranges. For schools, the MicroBlue, a 40x to 400x compound microscope that runs cordless on rechargeable AA cells, and the EduBlue stereo microscope. For colleges and keen hobbyists, the EcoBlue with four achromatic objectives to 1000x and the BioBlue. For laboratories, the bScope with infinity-corrected E-plan objectives and the iScope, which adds phase contrast, darkfield and fluorescence. For inspection and dissection, the StereoBlue, as a fixed 10x/30x or 20x/40x model or a 7x to 45x zoom, each with 100 mm of working distance.

What the Euromex names mean

Blue in the name marks the BlueLine, the education and routine range, and the first half tells you the level. Micro and Edu are the entry models, Eco and Bio add an Abbe condenser and a fourth objective, and Stereo is the solid-object line. bScope and iScope are built around 45 mm parfocal objectives (the slide stays close to focus when you switch objective) and a 3 W NeoLED lamp with Koehler illumination, which gives even light from edge to edge.

Support in the UK

Euromex instruments bought from us are supported through the brand's UK partner, so a warranty repair or a replacement part is handled in this country rather than sent back to the Netherlands.

Euromex FAQs

Which Euromex microscope for a school?

MicroBlue for years 7 to 11, EcoBlue for A level and college, and the EduBlue stereo for primary. The EcoBlue has a rack stop and locked-in eyepieces, so pupils can't drive an objective into a slide or walk off with an eyepiece.
