The 1ST is the entry model in Levenhuk's ST stereo range, a binocular microscope at 20x for coins, minerals, gemstones, shells and insects in 3D. There's 65 mm under the lens, so most hand-sized finds fit on the stage, and the optics are glass.
An LED above the stage runs on two AA batteries, which aren't included, so it works on a table or outdoors. The eye spacing adjusts from 55 to 75 mm, focus is a single knob with 35 mm of travel, and the stage is a round white plate with clips. It comes in a storage case.
At 20x it shows the surface of a coin or the grains in a rock rather than anything cellular, which needs a compound microscope. The LabZZ M4 gives 40x on a similar frame, and the 5ST gives 20x and 40x with a metal body and light from below as well.
