Bresser Immersion Oil, 5 ml
A 5 ml bottle of immersion oil for microscopes with a 100x oil objective, such as the Bresser Erudit DLX and Researcher Bino. A drop goes between the cover slip and the 100x lens, and without it the picture at 1000x won't come sharp.
Its refractive index is 1.515 (nD, to ISO 8036), the standard value for oil objectives, so it works with 100x oil objectives from other makers too. Wipe the lens with lens tissue after each session, because oil left on the lens dries and is hard to remove. The 4x, 10x and 40x objectives are used dry, and microscopes that stop at 400x or 640x, including the Rainbow and Junior models, don't need it.
