Six slides, each carrying four permanent specimens sorted by theme, for a child's first sessions at a compound microscope such as the Levenhuk LabZZ M101.
The animal slide has mouse fur with hare, dog and sheep hair. The plant slide holds a peanut stem, a ficus leaf, onion skin and silverberry leaf hairs. Insects get a bee abdomen, a honeybee leg, a locust wing and a housefly leg. Then there's a textiles slide with coloured threads, handmade paper, a fingerprint and Bemberg, a pollen slide with lily and pine pollen and bottlebrush and fern spores, and a tiny creatures slide with a plant louse, an ant, a brine shrimp egg and a daphnia.
The packaging is plastic and made for children, and the set weighs 60 g. The specimens differ from those in the Bresser Junior prepared slides starter kit, so the two sets pair up.
