A set of blank slides and cover glasses chosen for image quality, for photography through the microscope or work at 400x and above. Bresser packs the two separately in a vacuum sealed bag with a moisture absorber, so they keep for a long time without the clouding that spoils old glass.

The cover glasses are Boro 3.3 borosilicate, held to between 0.16 and 0.19 mm thick. That matters because the 0.17 printed on most objectives is the cover glass thickness the lens was designed for. They're pure white with no streaks, pre-cleaned, and rated by Bresser for fluorescence microscopy too.

The slides are soda lime glass with ground edges, and a matte writing field on both faces takes a pencil label. The box is 11.5 by 8.5 by 3.5 cm and the set weighs 325 g.

It suits the Bresser Researcher 40-1000x and any other microscope with 0.17 on its objectives. Our guide to making your own slides covers wet mounts and staining, and our other slides and cover slips are listed together.
