Bresser Plan Achromatic DIN Objective
Bresser Plan Achromatic DIN Objective
A single plan achromatic objective for a Bresser compound microscope, in 4x, 10x, 20x, 40x, 60x or 100x oil. Achromatic means red and blue light focus at the same point, so there's no colour fringe round a dark edge; plan means the view stays sharp from the centre to the edge, so you don't chase focus across a section. Bresser recommends the plan versions for photography, where a soft edge shows in every frame.
DIN is the standard thread and length. Bresser lists these for the Erudit DLX, the Researcher, the Science TRM-301, the Bioscience trinocular, the Science ADL 601 P and F and the MPO 401; the 60x page names only the Bioscience, TRM-301 and ADL 601 P. Don't fit them to the Erudit Basic or Erudit MO, whose shorter parfocal length (lens shoulder to slide) would put the other lenses on the turret out of focus.
The 100x needs immersion oil, which isn't included. Our magnification guide explains what each power shows, and the rest of the lenses sit in microscope accessories.
