Bresser Science Infinity 40-1000x Trinocular Microscope
Bresser Science Infinity 40-1000x Trinocular Microscope
The Science Infinity is the top of Bresser's biological range, a trinocular microscope with infinity-corrected plan-achromatic objectives, full Köhler LED illumination and a C-mount tube. It's for a research or teaching lab that wants to add contrast methods and cameras over time rather than replace the instrument. Magnification is 40x to 1000x.
Infinity-corrected means each objective sends its light up the tube as parallel rays, and a lens inside the head brings them to focus at the eyepieces. Filters, analysers and other accessories can go into that parallel path without shifting focus or magnification, which is why Bresser says fitting accessories is simple. The objectives are plan-achromatic 4x, 10x, 40x and 100x oil; plan means the image stays sharp out to the edge of the field. The WF10x eyepieces show a 22 mm field, are rubber-coated and have enough eye relief for spectacle wearers, with dioptre adjustment on both and eye spacing from 55 to 75 mm.
The LED is dimmable and, with the optional accessories, bright enough for dark-field work, where the background is black and the specimen glows. Full Köhler illumination is built in: a luminous-field diaphragm in the base plus an Abbe condenser (numerical aperture 1.25, iris diaphragm) that racks up and down and centres sideways, with the objective magnifications printed on it so the iris setting is read off. Köhler is the lamp and condenser alignment that gives even, glare-free light across the whole field. Stage and focus share coaxial knobs on one side.
A MikroCam or other C-mount camera attaches to the trinocular tube directly. Immersion oil, a mains adapter, a dust cover and the manual are included, and the body weighs 6.9 kg. Our microscope camera guide covers what sensor suits 1000x work. The Science TRM-301 below it has halogen light and standard plan objectives, and the Science ADL 601 F above it adds an LED fluorescence attachment to bright-field viewing at the same 40x to 1000x. All three sit with the other trinocular microscopes in our range.
