Euromex bScope 40-1000x Microscope

The bScope is Euromex's laboratory microscope for universities, small and mid-sized labs and veterinary practices, and these two PLi models are the plan infinity-corrected versions. Plan objectives hold focus across the whole field rather than the centre alone, and infinity corrected (Euromex calls it IOS) means the light leaves the objective as a parallel beam, so a filter can sit in the slot above the nosepiece without upsetting the image. The BS.1152-PLi is binocular; the BS.1153-PLi adds a 23.2 mm photo tube behind a fixed 20:80 beam splitter.

The quintuple nosepiece carries plan IOS 4x/0.10, 10x/0.25, S40x/0.65 and S100x/1.25 oil objectives, 45 mm parfocal, with one position free. N.A., the figure after each slash, sets the resolving power. HWF 10x/20 mm eyepieces give a 20 mm field, both with dioptre adjustment, and the Siedentopf head swivels its tubes between 431 mm and 377 mm, so a tall and a short technician can share one bench.

Illumination is a 3 W NeoLED with Köhler alignment, which lights the slide evenly and keeps dust on the lamp out of the picture, fed by a built-in 100 to 240 V supply. The condenser is a height-adjustable Abbe, N.A. 1.25, with an iris diaphragm and swing-out filter holder. The 152/197 by 131 mm stage has a rackless 75 by 36 mm X-Y mechanical stage with Vernier scales and low control knobs, and focus is double coaxial at 1.11 µm precision with a rack stop. Spare cable stows in the back, and the body weighs 6.5 kg as a binocular or 6.6 kg as a trinocular.

Supplied with power cord, dust cover, tools, spare fuse, white filter, manual and 5 ml of immersion oil. Rechargeable batteries and phase contrast kits are factory options. Below it, the Bresser Researcher gives 1000x with standard achromats, and the Euromex iScope above it adds 22 mm field eyepieces and an iCare energy-saving sensor.
