Resolution

The MikroCam SF is a C-mount camera with a Sony sensor, for a lab or school that wants smooth video and measured images. C-mount is the threaded fitting on trinocular microscopes, and adapters in the box also fit 23.2, 30 and 30.5 mm eyepiece tubes.

Three sensors are on offer. Full HD is 1920 by 1080 pixels on a 5.57 by 3.13 mm sensor at up to 30 frames a second, 5 MP is 2592 by 1944 on 5.18 by 3.89 mm at up to 26, and UHD is 3840 by 2160 on 6.22 by 3.5 mm at up to 30. All three run over USB 2.0 on Windows 10 or 11 with MikroCamLabII, which stacks focus live as you turn the fine focus, stitches mosaics and measures lengths, angles and areas once calibrated.

A 1.8 m USB cable comes with the camera head, and a 0.5x reduction lens, sold separately, widens the view on a 23.2 mm tube. The MikrOkular LF below it is the cheaper eyepiece-only choice, and the MikroCam SP above it is aimed at colour work, with 2.2 to 2.5 micron pixels.
