Bresser MikrOkular Full HD Microscope Camera
Bresser MikrOkular Full HD Microscope Camera
The MikrOkular is an eyepiece camera. It goes into a microscope's eyepiece tube in place of the eyepiece and shows a live 1920 by 1080 picture on a Windows computer over USB, with software for photos and video. The barrel is 23.2 mm, which fits most compound microscopes including the Rainbow and Erudit models, and adapters for 30, 30.5 and 31.7 mm tubes are in the box for stereo microscopes and telescopes.
Bresser says it works best with bright-field and top-lit samples, which covers most microscopy at home and in school. On a telescope it photographs the Moon and the bright planets, and the telescope adapter takes 1.25-inch filters. The housing is metal, with a built-in UV and IR blocking filter.
The software, CamLabLite, comes on a CD for Windows 7, 8 and 10, and the camera follows the UVC webcam standard. It needs a computer and doesn't connect to a phone, and it won't fit the 29 mm tube on the LabZZ M101. To use a phone instead, the A10 adapter holds one over any eyepiece, and the M300 BASE is Levenhuk's 3 MP eyepiece camera.
