Levenhuk N80 NG Prepared Slides Set
Levenhuk N80 NG Prepared Slides Set
Eighty prepared slides with an illustrated guide to what each one shows, plus 20 blank slides and 20 cover slips for making your own. It picks up where the 20-slide N20 NG set stops, with four times as many specimens.
The slides are grouped into animals, plants, fungi and everyday things. On the animal side there are a feather, cat fur, fish scales, frog and fish blood, rabbit heart, lung and brain, an ant, a butterfly wing, a fly's head and a bee's mandible, and microorganisms including daphnia, hydra, paramecium and planaria. The plant slides cover leaves, stems, roots, a lily anther and a fern prothallus, the fungi include lichen, penicillium, mould and yeast, and the everyday slides have salt and sugar crystals, nylon, silk, wool and cotton fibres, paper, toothpaste and natural yoghurt.
They need a microscope that lights from below, which means any of our compound microscopes, and Levenhuk confirms them for the LabZZ M101, Rainbow 2L PLUS and Rainbow 50L PLUS. Top-lit models such as the stereo, digital and USB microscopes won't show them properly. The set is sold complete, and with careful storage the slides last for years.
